Women's Volleyball Uniforms: Purpose-Built for Female Athletes

The women's volleyball uniform is one of the most specialized pieces of athletic apparel in team sports. It must allow full overhead arm extension for serving and setting, accommodate explosive lateral hip movements for defense, stay securely tucked during dive and sprawl sequences, and comply with governing body regulations for competitive play. A uniform produced from a generic or unisex template cannot achieve all of these requirements simultaneously for female athletes.

Jersey Design for Women's Volleyball

Our women's volleyball jerseys feature shorter body lengths that stay tucked during play without excess fabric, narrower shoulder widths matched to women's athletic proportions, and a more fitted silhouette through the torso that doesn't restrict overhead movements. Neckline options include V-neck (the most popular for women's competitive volleyball), scoop neck (preferred for beach volleyball and recreational play), and crew neck for programs that prefer a traditional uniform aesthetic.

The standard fabric is 100% moisture-wicking polyester, with an optional 88/12 polyester-spandex blend for players who prefer compression-adjacent stretch properties. Shorts Designed for Women's Competition

Women's volleyball shorts in our lineup feature the 2" or 3" inseam standard for indoor competitive play, providing full hip range of motion for lateral defense and explosive movements at the net. All shorts include an attached brief liner as standard — a feature specifically requested by women's programs for additional coverage during high-movement sequences. Players preferring no liner can request that option individually.

The shorts fabric uses an 88/12 polyester-spandex blend that provides the four-way stretch required for the lateral demands of women's volleyball defense. The elastic waistband with internal drawstring provides a secure, adjustable fit across a range of body proportions. The sublimation design on the shorts coordinates exactly with the jersey design for a true matched-set appearance.

Compliance for Women's Governing Bodies

Women's volleyball at the high school and collegiate level is governed by NFHS and NCAA standards that specify exact requirements for jersey number sizing and placement, color contrast between numbers and jersey, shorts length regulations, and libero jersey contrast requirements. Our compliance review process covers every order against the relevant governing body standards before production begins. For programs competing under USAV or AAU rules, we review those standards as well.

Libero Jerseys for Women's Programs

NFHS and NCAA regulations require the libero to wear a jersey that contrasts visibly with all other players on the team. We produce libero jerseys as part of every women's volleyball uniform order — using the same sublimation process in a contrasting colorway that coordinates aesthetically with the team's primary design while meeting the mandatory visual contrast requirements.
